💔 BREAKING: Country Legend Suffers Heartbreaking Death More Below 👇

Throughout her career in country music Jeannie Seely left her mark not only in music but also in Hollywood. Starring in films like Honeysuckle Rose, the singer also released hit songs that included “Don’t Touch Me.” And embracing country music, she became a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Loving the historic venue, the country singer appeared there over 5,000 times. While continuing to release music, the singer sadly announced that her husband, Gene Ward, passed away at 92 years old.

Making the heartbreaking announcement on Facebook, Seely didn’t go into great detail about the loss. She only posted a picture of the morning sky. She captioned the post, writing, “Gene’s first morning in Heaven.” According to reports, Ward passed away on Friday while at a life care center. Seely’s husband battled cancer for some time.

Fans quickly jumped to the comment section, hoping to offer support to Seely through the tough time. “I’m just so sorry for your loss, Jeannie! Gene was always so kind to me backstage at the Opry any time I saw him and he always made a point to say hello. Thinking of you and the family and will be keeping you in my prayers.” Another person added, “So very sorry for your loss .. a beautiful welcoming skyline for Gene’s first morning in Heaven. Thankful for no more pain for him and pray God will comfort your heart and your family as you hold each other up during this sad time.”

While staying somewhat silent about her loss, Seely opened up about Ward’s ongoing health issues just a few days ago. In another Facebook post, she revealed, “Good morning everyone. It’s been awhile for me to get this together. Thanksgiving morning Gene asked me to call 911 as he was having chest pains and couldn’t breathe. At St. Thomas Hospital they also confirmed that cancer is back. He has been transferred to Lifecare in Old Hickory for care and they are a great folks there. His boys, Gregg, Kevin and Shane are the best. We would be grateful for extra prayers.”

Sharing the type of man Ward was, Seely concluded, “Gene Ward is one of the most amazing men I have ever known and I have been so blessed to be his wife. The river and I have been in tears”
