It frequently appears as though the person is \u201ctrying to reach for something\u201d or \u201chold something that is above them,\u201d according to Katie.<\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes this is associated with what we call end of life visions or other end-of-life experiences \u2013 when someone will actually vocalises that they are seeing someone or something.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to her, it\u2019s comparable to how terminally ill patients frequently claim to see a \u201cbright light\u201d or a \u201cangel\u201d as their time is running out.<\/p>\n
\u201cVery commonly, it is a loved one or family member or pet, someone who has died before,\u201d Katie went on. Additionally, the dying person is expressing that they are seeing this person.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut sometimes, you see a person reach and they don\u2019t say anything at all,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s one of those mystical parts of the dying process that we are able to be a witness to,\u201d the nurse continued, reflecting on this reaching movement frequently observed in dying individuals.<\/p>\n
\u201cMost commonly, the person does not appear to be in pain or distress, and we also know that other end of life visions and experiences tend to bring the dying person a lot of peace and comfort.\u201d<\/p>\n
